PETRELPLUS WRG-40 Wire Rope Lubricant is a heavy-duty lubricating compound specially formulated for the lubrication and protection of wire ropes, cables and associated equipment operating under heavy loads and demanding service conditions. WRG-40 is formulated using a high-viscosity mineral base oil, a bentonite clay-based non-soap thickener, graphite solid lubricant and selected performance additives. The combination of high-viscosity mineral oil and graphite provides a strong lubricating film between individual wires and strands, helping reduce friction, wear and metal-to-metal contact. Its excellent load carrying characteristics make WRG-40 particularly suitable for heavily loaded wire ropes exposed to shock loads and slow-to-moderate operating speeds.
