Product Description

VVG GREASE is a corrosion preventing grease specifically designed for the protection of aluminum, aluminum alloy and steel reinforced overhead conductors. The unique combination of additives and base fluids delivers very good corrosion protection with long term stability resulting in enhanced protection throughout the service life of the conductor. 

Unlike traditional waxes or soap greases commonly used in conductor manufacture VVG GREASE utilizes a non-melting thickener system which results in a drop point over 300°C and minimal oil separation. This ensures that the grease structure is maintained throughout the operating temperature range and oil migration to the outer surface of the conductor is significantly reduced, helping to minimize corona effects.

Applications

VVG GREASE is designed for application at ambient temperatures and does not require heating prior to use. Application equipment should be thoroughly cleaned to remove residues of previous lubricants to avoid incompatibility issues.
