Product Description

VVG PLUS GREASE is high performance grease specifically developed for the protection of aluminum, aluminum alloy and steel reinforced overhead conductors, earth wires and their associated fittings. The unique combination of additives and base fluids delivers outstanding corrosion protection combined with long term thermal stability resulting in excellent protection throughout the service life of the conductor. 

VVG PLUS GREASE utilizes a non-melting thickener system that results in grease with a drop point over 300°C and extremely low oil separation at operating temperatures up to 250°C. This minimizes oil migration from the core to the outer surface of the conductor helping to reduce corona effects.

Applications

VVG GREASE is designed for application at ambient temperatures and does not require heating prior to use. Application equipment should be thoroughly cleaned to remove residues of previous lubricants to avoid incompatibility issues.

According to BS EN 50326:2002 this grease is suitable for use over an operating temperature range of -20°C to +250°C.
