Product Description

PREVENTPLUS DW 505 is a powerful solvent & wax base deposited corrosion preventive with good dewatering properties. The solvent, after evaporation, leaves a firm greasy protective film.

Applications

PREVENTPLUS DW 505 is a medium to long term protective for use in severe conditions where a high degree of protection is required. It is ideal for protection of machine tools and components prior to storage or transportation. The product also shows good water displacing properties.

Although Prevent plus DW 505 can be applied by brushing or spraying, its dewatering action is most effective if the articles to be protected can be immersed in a dip tank

Additional information

PREVENTPLUS DW 505 is considered hazardous according to the criteria of NOHSC. It may cause lung damage if swallowed. PREVENTPLUS DW 505 is a flammable good according to the criteria of AS 1940 for storage and handling purposes. Special care should be taken when spraying as misted product greatly increases the risk of fire. Use only in a well-ventilated area away from sources of ignition including static discharge e.g. when removing clothing. Do not smoke around the product. If required protective films of PREVENTPLUS DW 505 can easily be removed by using a petroleum solvent or alkaline process cleaner, all available from PETRELPLUS.
